Half Moon Voyage of Discovery Continues
Check out the experiences of the twelve 7th grade students serving as crew on the Half Moon, and completing their Voyage of Discovery. Daily postings appear at www.halfmoon.mus.ny.us ; click on "enter the main site" then click on "2005 Voyage of Discovery" and navigate to the section on Daily Logs and Crew. The students are doing very well, even in the face of some rainy and blustery weather. Tonight as I write the temperature is in the low 40s F, and windy (gusts to 25 mph right now). But all the crew are in good spirits and having a great time. We will move to the vicinity of Athens, NY, on Tuesday.
It is possible to send messages or ask questions of the crew ship@halfmoon.mus.ny.us . Answers and replies will be posted on the web site for the Daily Logs.
If you are in the Albany area, please come to our arrival ceremony on Friday, May 20, at noon in the Corning Preserve.

In honor of our Mothers, we will not be working this weekend,
May 7 and 8.
Danny Dawson has been aboard the ship on May 4-6. We can also use help the week
of May 9-13 as we make final preparations aboard ship for our departure. Please
call the office if you can help on the ship at King Marine in Verplanck.
We omitted the list of thanks to those who helped aboard the Half Moon last weekend in Verplanck. The crew accomplished a lot of work, and we exceeded our list of objectives for the weekend. Our reward was a great sunny afternoon just before departure. Thanks to:
